NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

The Truth About New Year’s Resolutions – A Spiritual Perspective

If you set goals for the New Year, please don’t be disappointed if you don’t follow through. One thing I learned in 2020 is that most of us want a lot of things, when in reality, energetically we are not in alignment. We cannot force anything to happen. We cannot force ourselves to achieve something that, most likely, was first initiated out of the desire to please others or to fit in society. Please, be conscious of the intention you are infusing into the goals you are trying to reach.

Personally, I no longer believe in New Year’s resolutions for time is simply an illusion. All that changes are numbers on a date, all else remains the same. It really is just another day. And the beauty of this is that every single day gives us the opportunity to begin again. To make the choice to expand our minds. To choose a different path. We don’t have to way until Monday. We don’t have to wait until January 1st. Just do it.

Resolutions often restrict, they contract.

Yes, it is great to have goals, but I feel like, in a way, they tend to put a soul in a cage. I found that letting energy flow is far more expansive for it allows us to achieve that which is in true alignment with our soul’s divine blueprint. Because, let’s be honest, a lot of the time, our intent is coming from the ego and not necessarily from the seat of our soul.

Release control.

Do not place a deadline.

Do not chase a dream, align with it.

Perhaps in the alignment process, you find something better. Something that is far more emotionally and spiritually fulfilling. Perhaps you’ll discover that the material world offers no true bliss. And you won’t feel bad or guilty for choosing a different path because you haven’t placed yourself inside a box. YOU ARE FREE. And you honor that FREEDOM.

By the way, January 1st isn’t even the true beginning of a new year. Aries season. That’s the true Astrological New Year!
